| ITI and Skill Development |
The information regarding ITI and Skill Development in the Financial Year 2025-26 is as follows:

01. ITI Introduction: ITI was established in Balrampur district in March 1998 in the tribal-dominated area of Vishunpur Vishram, Pachperwa, Balrampur, under the Special Component Plan of the State Government for operating 13 trades. Apart from the Gainsari development block, it is established in 08 development blocks, out of which 13/12 core trades, 06 trades of TTL, and skill development training are operational in Utraula, Katrashankar Nagar, and Vishunpur Vishram. The remaining ITIs are under construction. In each ITI, against the total 51 sanctioned posts—which include 01 post of Principal Grade-2, 02 of Workshop Superintendent (Karyadeshak), 29 of Instructors, 01 of Senior Assistant, 02 of Junior Assistants, 01 of Storekeeper (Bhandari), 3 of Workshop/Store Attendants, 01 of Computer Operator, 09 of Class IV employees, and 01 of Sweeper—along with 02 additional sanctioned SME posts of TTL, only 40 percent of the positions are currently filled.

02. Admission – Session: In the session 2025-26, the admission process was completed with 488 filled seats against 516 sanctioned seats (94.57%) in Vishunpur Vishram; 399 filled seats against 464 sanctioned seats (85.99%) in Katrashankar Nagar; and 323 filled seats against 352 sanctioned seats (91.76%) in Utraula.

03. Skill Development: Short-term training under the Skill Development SSDF scheme is operational in Government ITI Katrashankar Nagar, Utraula, and Vishunpur Vishram, under which training is being conducted in Apparel, Electronics, Automotive, IT-ITES, Plumbing, and Construction.

04. Placement – Session: In the session 2025-26, placements were provided to 355 candidates against the target of 700 for ITI and Skill Development, and to 205 candidates against the target of 300 under Apprenticeship. The remaining candidates were benefited through various government schemes by securing loans from banks.

05. Industrial Linkage: Apart from in-service candidates, individuals working in the private sector have been attracted towards industries, and they are being encouraged to set up new industries. The facility of skilled technicians is being made available to already running, established industries. The participation of youth is being ensured in the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Scheme (Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana).
